CNC Machining

CNC machining is a computer-controlled means to remove material with high-precision machines. It uses various cutting tools to create the final design. This type of machining offers precise manufacturing and repeatability, and CNC machines are cost-efficient and highly scalable. These machines can work with a variety of materials from basic aluminum and plastics to more exotic materials like titanium.

CNC machining has become the desired technology for end-use parts for good reasons. It can produce a high-quality finish, utilize various material options, and ensure precise tolerances. It’s an excellent option for prototyping because of the low cost per unit and high production speed.

Cass CNC Machining Services

Cass Precision Machining maintains more than 30 CNC machines, including CNC lathes, CNC mills, and CNC turning centers. Some of these machines are even equipped with pallet changers and robotic loaders. We utilize Mazak, Tsugami, Index, and Doosan CNC lathes and Doosan and Brother vertical machining centers.

The latest addition to our CNC machine lineup is the Index MS22-8, a versatile machine with eight spindles. This machine features highly dynamic slides with a sliding guide and a non-wearing Z-axis due to quills with hydrostatic support. Whether complex parts or different processes are involved, this machine can handle it all.

These multi-tasking machines allow us to make a complete part in one operation. Our Mazak and Swiss machines make custom CNC parts with ease, from one-piece prototypes to high-volume production runs. We machine parts from bar stock and plate material and utilize as many as 11 axes of motion on some machines. Our CNC machines can also perform additional operations on custom-machined parts coming from CNC screw machines or outside processes.

Common parts include:

  • bushings
  • collars
  • fasteners
  • fittings
  • inserts
  • machined components
  • machined washers
  • pins
  • nuts
  • spacers
  • spindles
  • standoffs
    and more
